UX Design Let's Me Be Me

CURIOUS, CREATIVE, AESTHETIC, ANALYTICAL, COLLABORATIVE.

There’s more to it, but those words didn't start with a or c. I always seem to find myself at the intersection of creativity and logic. Before digital product design, I was a guitarist who loved music theory (well, I still am), a visual merchandiser who validated with data, and an event production designer who asked, “Why?” in the midst of sound, lights, and smoke machines.

In digital product design (2 years and counting), I’ve found a language and a diversified tool set for the way I’ve been thinking and working all along. I’ve been empathizing (CX and non-profit work) and designing (live productions and retail store layouts) professionally for over a decade, and I bring all those skills to my digital product work.

After Hours

I’ve been playing music for a long time. 🎸 Like taking note of good design, when I hear a beautiful sounds in just the place, I love discovering how to make them in my own music.

A while back I made an abridged playlist of artists I have worked with in some fashion (sideman, support act, sound engineer, or production manager). Currently I’m playing with Liza Day, and my latest venture is pedal steel guitar.

Enough about me. Tell me about you.

Send me note with some feedback, tell me about a new project, or just say hello!
